Certainly sounds like a scam, doesn’t it?
But it’s not. ShareBuilder will give you money for giving them money. I simply opened an account with them for free to start investing, and a few weeks later received an email from them stating that they would add $25 to my account if I deposited the same amount or more. This is good for any stock or ETF.
Apparently ShareBuilder has free deals like this pretty regularly. After opening an account with them, they will email you with a promotion code whenever they publish one. I invested it in some penny stocks to test the waters.

ShareBuilder is a good way to break into the market. Giving away free money certainly brought my attention back to my account. I like this online broker because of their low fees and they don’t require a minimum investment. You can purchase any amount of stock or even fractions of shares. When you transfer money into your account without purchasing something, it immediately goes into a money market account.
